I have been on Neurontin for several weeks now. I have been prescribed a dosage of 600 mg four times a day which seems to be way out of proportion to anybody else that I've seen here. It was given to me while in rehab for long term substance abuse and is supposed to releive the anxiety and panic attacks that I experience while my brain is trying get back it's chemical balance. I'm also on Seroquel to relieve agitation, impatience, short attention span etc... that is a result of long term use of cocaine and crystal meth. I find myself experiencing severe bouts of depression and periods of extreme agitation and short temper. I have also put on 20 pounds in three weeks and my appetite is voracious. I can't tell if all of this is due to side effects of the medication or due to withdrawal effects. I'll keep posting as to my progress. I am very interested to hear about as many experiences as possible with these medications as well as success or failure with other medications used for anxiety and panic attacks as well as narcotic withdrawal meds. Thanks.
