Bruce, my very first preventive med was Inderal. Although I did not experience any side effects, it didn't help CH either. Then my neurologist put me on Calan (Verapamil) 180 mg a day which also didn't do a thing. She quickly raised it to 240 mg, and it turned out to be a WONDER DRUG for me. No side effects worth mentioning.
Abortive med for me is Imitrex injection. It does give me GI disturbances, but my head is as clear as it can be after taking it.
