I somewhat concluded that it palys a major role in contributing to colds, and respiratory viral infections. Guess what...I have not had a cold or flu since I stopped eating chicken 2 years ago. Also, poultry, particularly chickens, are so full of hormones (reduce their "market-ready" time), that I would not be surprised if it actually contributed to CH in some manner. Afterall, it has been shown that there seems to be a correlation between hormones and CH in some studies. I have heard plenty of stories from women whose CH seem to diminish, and in some cases completly cease once they get off the pill.
