I'm so sorry...what a let down. Congrats on your new position though - I used to do the same thing, manage a business centre and lease out office space so if I can offer any advice, you KNOW where to find me. It's a great job, meet new folks all the time and yet you're still in charge. You'll be really good at this, you're a people person.
Two words that saved my sanity while in the business centre biz.... "no problem". We used to say this to the ornery clients (while we mentally substituted two other words, you get my drift). The client walked away smiling while we secretly relished in getting away telling them what they could do - have sex and travel - in our "secret lingo"......oh, yes, offer a BIG smile as you say it. Then chuckle to yourself as you walk away. Works every time. :)
