Hi Guys,

yes I asked the doc how he coped since he is a chronic sufferer.
He told me the first thing he did was accept that he is a clusterhead. He is on lithium (I don't know how much).
I asked him how many headaches he actually gets. He told me about one every three months which he bats away with oxygen. He has it
in his office, at home and in his car. He also told me that treating cluster headaches is an art form. He said that the patient has to become an expert
about clusterheadaches. WE (the patient) know better than the doc what is working or not. Myself, I experimented with setting my alarm clock for three in the morning and taking
extra medicine then,IT WORKED!!!!!!

I woke up this morning with a smile on my face, I'm in a cluster and I'm smilling.

The doc also said that yes clusters are rare and even more rare in women. He said alot of women go years before getting the correct diagnosis. Doctors will tell them it's migraines or tension headaches.

I will see him again on Wednesday and ask him if he wouldn't mind posting something. I will also ask him if he has an e-mail address.

Love to all of you. Go to war against the beast and crush his skull for a change!

Love Jayne
