During active CH periods only I find that moving my head/neck a bit to vigorously will trigger an attack. Also, sitting in a chair which puts pressure in the left kidney area will trigger and so, can't sleep on my back during active periods.

When I first told my doc about the neck thing he gave me "what's wrong with you?" look--polite skepticism! Months later I found a medical journal article which reported this as an experience reported by others. A relief to me that I was not nuts and then took pleasure giving it to him.

But the key point: these triggers don't trigger an active CH period for me but only set off an attack when a cycle has begun.
