I love ice cream, but I don't know that I could sit down with a container every time the CH comes. I have, however, held an ice cube in my mouth during a CH...alternating it from my tongue to as high as I could get it along the gumline under my cheek on the affected side. As I recall, it had only a moderately beneficial affect, but maybe it is something your husband would consider trying...especially if he suffers nausea during an episode.
