I was amazed to read the pain scale on this site. It was hard to believe that my pain could be described almost precisely. But unlike some of the others here, mine never stop at say "7".
They generally wake me at around 3-4 and they move fast (within 10-15 min)up to 9-10.
Oxygen will bring hem down but I find that will only result in a relapse 2-4 hours later. Seems that they need to go full circle and that is that.
I am living/working in Vietnam and have little access to a Neuro. This cycle (I am episodic) has run almost 4 weeks and I am ripped apart. I hate the prednisone thing but cannot go on like this. I will try the bare minimum which I feel is 30mg/day for 5 days and taper from there.
Is there any evidence that even if the pred. dosage is too low to stop the cycle, at least it will decrease the severity of the attack??
