The Prednisone always worked for me for about three days, and, as I taper off, headaches return. This time, the doctor put me on 500 mg. Depakote twice a day. Also used oxygen for the nighttime ones. Within three weeks, the number of headaches was greatly reduced - down to one every other day - very unusual for me. Cycle was over in five weeks. Again, very short for me. I stayed on the Depakote six weeks beyond last headache. Will see how long "remission" lasts this time. Good luck!
