Naratriptan - Conflicts

Thank you for the very interesting post. I have already read all I can find on naratriptan (Amerge). Now, thanks to your very positive feedback, it looks like it is time for me to have an immediate discussion with my neurologist about it. (It is 3:34 a.m. in New York - I would love some relief that doesn't completely knock me out for the next 14 hours...)

The only thing that may turn into a concern for me and others is - what you cannot take with it.
Here is the list gang:

•dihydroergotamine, ergotamine, methysergide, or ergot-type medication - do not take within 24 hours of taking naratriptan.
•sumatriptan, rizatriptan, zolmitriptan - do not take within 24 hours of naratriptan.
•antidepressant medication such as paroxetine, fluoxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, citalopram

In other words: No ergots and no Imitrex within 24 hours - and no Paxil, Prozac, Zoloft, or I assume Serzone, at all.

Still, it is very intriguing.
