I found that making RICE bags works great as something to apply to the head. I just keep them in the freezer.
I used old material that I had around, old sheets are good ones for the cold rice bags, and filled with rice. Used them over and over and it sure is cheap. Frozen vegs bags get smashed up and you have to buy new. Theses bags have lasted for years!
The rice fits the shape where you put them.
I made different sizes and shapes. I wear an old glove on my hand so it doesn't get cold.
Don't fill them all the way, experament with them.
I guess you could put the rice in a plastic bag and it would do the samething but I like material next to my face.
I have others that I just throw in the mico to warm up that I use sometimes to relax the muscle in my face or neck. Just warm in mico a few minutes. My neck always gets tight during and after an attack, I tense up but I really try my best to relax My attacks lasts 1 hour 45 mins.
I look really funny with a cold rice bag to the face and a warm one on my neck! My husband who used to tell me what to do during an attack, now, just goes and gets the bags. Thank God!
Can't say that the bags help all that much, just numbs the surface for me but YOU just got to try SOMETHING!
Hope the bag idea helps someone!
