Through my incessant experimentation, since conventional doctors could not help me, I decided to give the birth control pill a whirl. It staves them off for a year or two, and then stops working. If I change the type of pill, it works again for a year or two. My gynecologist got irritated with me that I was changing my prescription. I can't say it is the healthiest method. The effectiveness of it would make sense because it regulates your hormone cycle and somewhat mimics pregancy, and since clusters are cyclical, it probably throws it off temporarily. By the way, labor is probably a piece of cake in comparison to a cluster attack. I will probably not need any drugs with the pain tolerance I have built up over the years.
