I don't know how long Imigran has been around, but I got it in 1994. My doctor was a very cautious man and was very concerned about it.
About eighteen months later I told him I had used 5 injections in about a month (I thought he would think this was pretty sparing, as I had been having a really bad time) He shook his head and muttered that that was too often. So I never felt I could ask for more than two - what I used to do was to get them even when prednisolone stopped the headaches for a while.
Bearing in mind that I have been clear for two years until now and have moved, I will get up to date advice on the possible dangers. The fact is that, for the worst headaches, you would use one even if you were told there was a good chance of it killing you
