Hi Brian,
No need to apolagize, it's a common misconception that Chinese resturants lace their fare with MSG. What is not well known is that many other resturants use it on damned near everything. The sad truth is that MSG makes bad food taste better. They even sprinkle it on the lettuce in the salad bars to keep it fresher. It's even purported to be one of the secret ingrediants in KFC's recipe. It's a 3 billion dollar (yeah, that's with a B) industry and the FDA, thanks to a powerful lobby, will tell you it's a safe food additive. BULL. If I want to tempt the beast when in a cycle, all I need do is snack on any of the many munchies with a cheese flavor (Cheetos and Nacho Cheese Doritos are a fovorite). Guaranteed a baaad night. There are also many foods that have naturally occuring MSG. Tomatoes and parmisan cheese have very high levels of "bonded" MSG. From what I've read on the web, the bonded MSG is much more slowly absorbed than the "flavor enhanceing" added stuff and causes less of a problem. My bottom line tho is, if in a cycle, read the labels and avoid anything that could contain MSG.

Kip
