Repeating from my earlier posts:
As an abortive Amerge (Naratriptan) is probably a bit slow to kick in. However, if the attacks come on a regular schedule, it's great as a preventative, as it has a long lasting effect (6-8 hours).
Although my attacks are well damped down by Verapamil, they still would wake me up every 1.5 hours. But taking Amerge (usually half a tablet) before going to bed, I get a full nights sleep.
Sides: In the beginning I had a bit of a slow start in the morning, but thats gone now.
