I have tried a lot of diffrent abortive therapies but what works best for me is Darvon 65 mg. I cannot take imitrex and have tried other pain relivers, Ultram, Percocet etc. Darvon 65 mg capsules ( not Darvocet!!!) work great for me. The only problem is my CH is very long 2 to 3 hours. This gives the darvon a chance to work. I know most people have short CH ie ( 15 minutes to an hour) but if your CH are like mine and come on a specific time each day you can take the Darvon about an hour earlier ( don't tell the doctor your doing it!!). For me this works better than a lot of the stronger pain relievers ( Percocet Vicodon etc). I have no idea why this works but it does.
