Sorry to say you welcome to CH. Here you'll find a lot of support for your mom, and a lot of compassion for you all.
I'm so unhappy to hear these (usual) things. But I have some remarks to do:
- Is not sure that CH disappear with the age (sorry to say, but...) we have person aged 60 and plus that have it.
- CH is related to alcoholic that triggers the attacks and, in some cases, the cycle. IS NOT RELATE to the habit to be drunk! A beer a day is enough to trigger CH, and if you would call this a drinking problem....!?!
- so strange (although blessed in your case) the quick cure at ER. The most of us, when at ER, have had absolutely no relief.
- could you be more precise on the drugs (composition and/or commercial name) that they prescribe to your mother?
Please, don't take all this as an attack to you, is only a way to understand better that CH
