I have been getting Disablement Allowance - an extra 20 quid a week on Income Suppport - for eight years now. My doctor is quite sympathetic to my condition and I have been sent to two review boards which also confirmed my inability to work. This is in Brighton. I lived in Glastonbury before and was treated horrendously with the DSS laughing at my condition and calling me a malingerer.
Best of luck, and always try to look as shitty as you feel when you deal with them.
