Being rude and ignoring societal (yes, ch.com IS a society) rules is the demeaning behavior.

Should I say here "Guess you just don't get it"?

Literacy is both self-induced and self repairable. Go to www.dictionary.com and sign up for the Word of the Day email. They'll email you a new word, with definitions every morning.

I imagine you'll find this condescending and probably 'demeaning'. This is your right, of course. Personally, I've put my 'political correctness' where it belongs...the big, green barrel that goes out to the curb each week to be emptied. I have little patience for the 'I'm a victim too!' attitude that is far too prevalent in the US today. If you feel your writing skills are less than you'd like them to be, or less than they should be, DO something about it! Shut off the idiot box and read a book. Contact the United Way and ask about Adult Literacy education. IF you have a problem (and I have no way to know if you, or anyone else does), it is of YOUR making and ONLY you can correct it. Using a real or perceived inferiority with words as an excuse for rude behavior just can't be rationalized.

If I can do anything to help, I'd be more than happy to do so.

Unpopular comments, when justified and correct, are not demeaning, insulting or exclusive. They're just unpopular.
KTSSU,
T
