Hi everyone!

Just updating all of you.

The water therapy is going from strength to strength. I am still a new person, cluster free, still drinking water, although by now I am drinking half the amount as before. Why water works, I still cannot tell, but I have gathered a lot of relevant info, and gradually the picture is coming together. I am, as explained before, combining water therapy with a full ban on salt, cheese, alcohol. Nicotine I CANNOT MANAGE TO AVOID TOTALLY, AS WELL AS SWEET SNACKS! I am also taking a multi-vitamin supplement, to make up for excessive lost of these due to the vast amounts of water I am taking.

I was a guest on a local talk radio station a couple of times, and thus had the opportunity to raise a lot of Cluster awareness out there. It looks as if I will soon have the opportunity to have a full hour on the station (only a once-off), just to do Cluster talk.

It was during one of these occasions that I was phoned by probably the sweetest dame I have ever had the opportunity to meet. A certain Mrs De Lange from Johannesburg, South Africa. This lady was listening to the programme on radio, and somehow managed to get hold of my telephone number. She phoned afterwards, with the following incredible account of how she managed to get rid of her clusters, which she was suffering from for many years (and no medication helped..what's new?).

One day, whilst in the middle of yet another cluster attack, out of sheer desperation (to which we all relate well!), she started rolling her eyes...far to the left (she said she could feel the muscles of the eyes really stretching), and then far to the right...and she kept on doing this for a couple of minutes, and: there it was!!...the pain disappeared...and has never returned to this day...which is 4 years later!!

She asked me to tell people about this, with the request that I must phone her back regularly with news from people who tried this. So here we all are, ladies and gents...with another option. Please post feedback, as well as similar experiences you might have had, or have heard of.

With the help of JAZZ on our message board, I have learnt about the possible link of Horner's Syndrome and Clusters, as well as the link to a Retina related problem (floaters on the eye). Horner's syndrome is what we as Cluster sufferers know as the drooping of the eyelid, tearing of the eye, swelling of the eye lid, etc. However, it can also occur as a condition in itself, without the clusters. JAZZ's doctor has reported cases where Horner's, Clusters and the retina (floaters condition, occured simultaneously.

Speak to you soon! Pain free times! Jerry
