I have taken Esgic Plus for CHs since I first got them. I concur with many of the comments about it: it works usually within 20-40 minutes if I take it right away (but see below), makes me very drowsy, I get a "rebound" headache (but not of the cluster variety, just a dull headache),--AND if I take it every six hours it keeps them from exploding my head even when they come on.

The kicker: My body habituates to the Esgic within a week or two of beginning to take it so that it soon becomes ineffective at safe doses.

My experience: it works for the short term, which is nothing to sneeze at. If your clusters last more than a few weeks, you'll need a backup. If they really make you too tired to function safely, go to plan B.
