I live in KY & if they raised cigs to 33.50 much less $50.00/carton literally most of the state economy would collapse.
When I was a kid that tobacco money bought my sisters & I many happy christmases especially the year that the local GE plant shut down. My father had a wife 3 girls(my little sis was just born) to support so that money became our livelyhood. I don't support smoking(even though I smoke) but on the same hand many people depend on this money.
