This message is an act of desperation!!!
My boyfriend was diagnosed with clusters in October, 1999. He's three days into another cycle and we're desperate for help. We've read everything there is to read... we've talked to five neurologists... he spent 2 and a 1/2 weeks in the hospital... none of the drugs have worked (we've tried most of them). You've probably heard this story again and again, but we're "virgins" and we don't know what to do.
Are there any "veterans" out there who can give us some advise? point us in a certain direction? How do you survive this day in and day out? How do you keep your job? How do you get a doctor to be a partner in this with you? We have so many questions and we're desperate to interact with anyone who can help us through this.
