My insurance company (Blue Cross) did cover my O2.
The efficacy of O2 is clearly documented in the
following book: "Cluster Headache: Mechanisms
and Management," by Dr. Lee Kudrow, published
by Oxford University Press (see P. 142). If you
e-mail me your address, I'll Xerox pertinent info
and send it to you snail mail.
When I hear stuff like this, it makes me furious.
Did your doctor prescribe the oxygen? If so, he
could also advocate for you, writing a letter to
the insurance company. (I had a friend successfully
do this for another medical situation.) If not,
it might be worthwhile to get a doctor who will do
this. Don't give up! You CAN fight the insurance
company.
