I think my dogs have helped me as much as my doctors have. During those late-nite howling headaches, I occasionally get vocal backup from one of them. I never thought I could laugh during the height of a cluster attack, until the first time that happened. His help wasn't particularly effective, or I could say that I hurt 'til I laughed. There have been times when I was near suicidal, but never seriously considered it because... well, who would feed the dogs?
