The neurologist won't prescribe anything, even a depakote level until they A) get the referral
B) see my husband (first available appointment 1/23/99). The primary is out of the office for the afternoon.
What the hell are we supposed to do here? The hospital on his plan is an hour away and the friggin headache would be over by the time he got there, even if he could stand to be in the car during one.
Now he is going to have to be out of town for 5 days without anything to help him. I don't know how people don't just
explode over this! I've never had to deal with HMO's since any insurance I've ever had was not an HMO. Now I can see what all the uproar is about.
