I agree, these do not sound like the typical (?!)
cluster headache. I am not a cluster sufferer, but
I've read enough posts here, and I've had my mom
describe hers enough to make your symptoms sound
suspicious.
Your headaches started around the time you moved into
your dorm? Have you ever had allergies ruled out? If
you haven't done so already, you may want to get in
to see a doctor for a good work-up. It's not uncommon
for people to develop allergies after becoming adults.
If your MRI and x-rays were negative, maybe you could try
seeing a neurologist. You did not specify whether or not
you were being treated by one; a neurologist is more familiar
with what to look for. Cluster headaches are kind of hard to
misdiagnose - it's the treatment that REALLY gives people a headache!
