Dave about the free access but yes we pay for calls. I believe AOL is the same and calls are charged also, but I will check it out to be sure.
The call charges aren't made by the ISP but by our phone company British Telecom. There is currently pressure on them to reduce costs for call time on the net, we'll just have to be patient I suppose.
