Hi Jerry,
My husband says he has sometimes had floaters but not everytime. I, however, used to suffer from plain migraines and this was always a prelude to an attack for me coupled with numbness in my top lip and hand on the affected side. I apologize for including migraines with clusters, but since they are both considered to be vascular afflictions, I wonder if there is a connection with regard to the floaters. My eye doctor explains the floater (or the "shimmeries", as I called it) as a vascular problem.
