Also female, heterosexual, onset at age 16, eposides growing more frequent as I got older, and I'm afraid they might be going chronic now (I'm 42). The longest period I went without them was when I was pregnant, so I wondered then about the hormone connection. I tried going on the pill to fool my body into thinking it was pregnant, but it didn't work. That is the only way that thye have differed from the patterns described by most CH sufferers. I am currently tapering off a steroid blast of prednisone, and am on a fairly high dose (1,00mg/day) of depakote to see if that works. I went to Dr. Kudrow in LA to get the scoop on oxygen, but it didn't work for me. Imitrex has been a miracle, headache gone in 10 minutes of injection, but insurance pays for 10/month, so if they really are chronic, I'm in trouble. I go to Mexico to buy more at about half the price ($20/shot). Jackie, who do you see at Scripps?
