It is like a vise on the temples, a hot poker up the nose, and a thumb on the eye. All pressing harder and harder until you can actually hear your own blood surging through your ears, with a dangerously high pulse rate and blood pressure high enough to boil water. I have learned how to shut off the blood supply to my head by squeezing my neck and pressing on my temples and under my jaw. I have pushed on my face so hard with an ice pack, that it left a mark for a week. Sadly, I have lost many hours, no years of time fighting to regain control over the enemy within. Still fighting and I think I'm winning.
