I agree about Verapamil (extended release), here in Italy the instruction enclosed are clear: if 2, one in the morning, one in the evening (or only half in the evening, if you would try with low doses).
About surgery (of any kind, "do it yourself" too :-) ) to destroy the demon..... I think one successful case on 1000.
