At the beginning of this month it was one year since my current cycle started. So I've probably entered the higher league of the chronics. But then, I'm better off than most chronic, as my attacks are well under control with 560 mg/day of Verapamil and easily aborted by O2. In fact, I never went above a 3 or 4 on the Kip scale, and most of the time the nightly attacks are kept off by half a tab of Naratriptan (Amerge). And thanks to this board I learned to avoid most of the daytime attacks, triggered for me by MSG. Oops, I think it was a mistake to mention MSG, now some people will say I don't have CH at all, and my 'headaches' are caused by smoking too many cigarillos :-þ

On the other hand, it could be that my cycle is is slowly winding down. I'm still sucking on a O2 tank from the last millennium, and before I emptied one in a fortnight. But then, I lately missed a third of my Verapamil and on an other time skipped the Amerge on purpose, and on both occasions was hit again with some nightly attacks.

Well, one thing is sure: I won't suffer CH for much longer than 40 years, and hopefully, someone comes up with a cure in the meantime.

PFNAD's,
Ueli
