been a bit since I last posted, but this runs along same line as I've been trying with essential oils. Spearment, Rosemary, Peppermint and Lavender oils act as counter-irratents that cause the dilated vessels in the local area to constrict. Hope I got that right, I've been using peppermint & lavender and rubbing around temple and eye - keep it out of the eye, and it does numb and releive the pain. Just learned however to mix the peppermint with a sweet almont oil or vegetable oil at 2% ratio, as it can be toxic if pure in form.
