North Port is on the Gulf (west) Coast, about 1/2 way down the length of Florida. As my Where We Live entry attests, I live in Jacksonville, on the Atlantic (east) coast, at the very northern end of Florida. You have more homework to do, but I'll give you a tip.
North Port is near a city in Florida which shares it's name with one in Italy, and the proximity to the Gulf makes it a great area for sailing.
