In Dec 99, I woke up at night w/ killer headaches around my right eye. I had to sleep w/ ice packs for any relief. This went on for 3 weeks til I had an MRI & they found a spontanious dissection of my carotid artery(juggler vein). Yikes! They sent me right to the emergancy room to be admitted for more tests & to get me on blood thinners so I would not stroke out. It was not one of my better days.
Results: The internal dissection of my carotid artery slowed the oxygen to my brain causing my cluster headaches. The lack of oxygen to my sympathtic nerve permently damaged that nerve thus causing my Horner's Syndrome which also seems to be permanent. My dissection is healing itself.... I am on meds for the clusters & have not had any more pain.
Now, if I could just get my eyelid back to normal then I could live with it !!! Any suggestions on treatment for my droopy eyelid? I sure could use some advise!
