I wouldn't think a sudden change like that in daylight hours could provoke an attack/cycle. I would think it's a gradual deprivation that the cluster folks' circadian rhythms just can't adjust to.
Plus, Vancouver is fairly southern (by Canadian standards)- I wouldn't think you'd really notice a big difference unless you went further north, like the Yukon or N.W.T.
I know when I worked in Houston, it did kinda freak me out that the sun set so early there in the summer, when I was used to it setting after 10 here. When Mike was there, about the same time a couple of years later, he commented on it too but it didn't cause him to notice any CH activity.
I'm probably way off base but those are my thoughts anyways. Enjoy LotusLand!! Pretty city.
