The first MRI I had was about 15 years ago and
I had to drive about 1 and 1/2 hours to get there
since there wern't any around here at the time.
I dreaded the entire ride there and when they put
me in the thing I started to hyperventilate and
started crying for them to get me out. They tried
to calm me down and reassure me by talking to me
over an intercom and the technician's voice sounded like Darth Vader!!! Needless to say I didn't have it done, then I cried all the way home
for being such a baby. The next time I had it done
I made sure the doctor gave me Valium before I went in and it relaxed me enough to keep talking
myself out of flipping out. I was almost hoping
the MRI would show SOMETHING but both were negative and that was just the beginning of seeing
a long list of specialists. First you have your
teeth checked, then your eyes, sinuses, maybe its
TMJ, chiropractor, allergist, and the list goes on. Now I'm back to the acupunturist weekly again.
Seems like thats the only thing that has given
me at least some relief.
