Dear Oprah- I plead with you regarding what's happening in the USA regarding victims of eating disorders. HMO's throughout the country are refusing to pay for residential care and the parents and loved ones are watching helplessly while their children die an agonizing death by the thousands. As you know this is a sensless
waste of very valuable human beings. Unfortunately my beautiful, talented daughter is going to be amoung them if I can't get someone to care enough to help. I've been through all the appeals, no attorney wants to help because it's not a sure thing. I'm 61, unemployed,and spend every day writing and talking to people. Noone seems to care. What about their spirit? I've spent my life believing in the good of mankind,and as a RN taking care of their bodies and spirits. I don't have much spirit left. I would gladly give my life to save her's but unfortunately don't have that choice. She's been suffering for 13 years. I don't know how much longer she can hang on. Please Oprah, you've helped so many people. Please help her. May God bless you, regardless of your decision. love, Carol
