After years of taking Dr. prescribed pain killers and having them work only for a short time, I started my own treatment of displacement techniques. The 'miracle' drugs actually made it harder for me to battle the demon. I much rather use my own mind.
After doing so for 'bout 5yrs for my clusters, when in labor a little over 4yrs ago I was able to hold a conversation through my contractions!
I believe we have control over our pain.
I don't know about one gender feeling pain more than the other. I believe it is an individual thing.
