My dad was diagnosed with cluster headaches 5 months ago (September 1999). He went through all the usual tests, MRI, etc. In January, the headaches got so severe, he started passing out from them. My uncle who was a doctor had the hospitl read all the MRI pictures again. In September they concentrated on the left side pictures because that was where my dad was having the pain. In January, when they read them again, they compared both sides and saw that the left muscles in my dad's neck were twice the size as the right.
Back to the hospital for another MRI. They found a huge cancerous tumor in his neck that was causing the headaches.
