In the beginning of my 20 yr struggle with these things, I used to have 3-4 episodes a yr with each lasting 4-6 weeks. They gradually diminished in frequency til only 1 episode every 18-24 months. However, my next to last episode lasted 14 weeks and changed positions from the left to the right side in the middle. It was like having 2 episodes back-to-back.
My MD said it was a sign they may be fading. I hope so! The last episode was almost 2 yrs ago and it only lasted 2 weeks. And while I had as many as 7 headaches in one day, they were less intense and lasted only 45-60 minutes.
