My 'shadow' is a feeling that the cluster is about to start. I can only describe it as a nagging feeling in my right hand temple. If I ignore it it develops into a full blown CH and if I get it early with pain killers it usually aborts it. About 90% of my clusters are like this. The other 10% are suddenly there and no pain killer works. I say this but at the moment they are changing all the time so this ratio could change.
