I agree with what you say.
Two points;
time differences - I responded yesterday to Todd an hour after he posted, then 3AM EST but 9AM GMT. He was probably trying to sleep. had he been UK, he would probably still been about and still desperate for someone to respond
place - we support each other worldwide, but it would still be nice to know in advance even small things in common, like living 50 miles apart etc
