Hi

After 3 weeks of my last episode I gained the same experience as you did. I then immediately stopped to ingest any kind of sugar. I didn't eat anymore sweets, fruit, milk or anything containing it. The effect was amazing as I was almost free of pains until the episode was over which happened more than 5 weeks later. Whenever I had a light attack (may be a shadow headache) I found that by mistake I had eaten something containing sugar (e.g. mashed potatoes containing milk, bread with glucose or milk, meat with a sauce prepared with red wine etc.).

In contrast to the candida theory it was not necessary for me to avoid starch. I could eat noodles, rice, baked potatoes, french fries etc. without getting any problems. Also coffee never influenced my ha, neither positively nor negatively.

As I already posted earlier to this message board, I'm aware that a sugarless diet does not necessarily prevent the pains with all cluster sufferers. But I think it's well worth to try it.

Stay pain free

Urs
