Weeeelll....I have a GP who seems to understand my CH. I said "I need O2 for my clusters" He gave me the scipt. I walk into a Med supply house and say "clusters" to the proprieter who happens to be an old aquaintence from a group that still remains anonymous and he "gives" me the whole setup, no charge...with those cannule thingys...and tells me the cheapest place to get refills is at the welding supply house...ours carries medical O2.
Since that time I went to the welding joint for refills.
After reading posts here about how much better the masks are, I wanted one but I figured they would cost a lot and so I made one myself.. without a bag. When I got good results from that and my "cycle" was building, I wanted the real thing...I'm a major procrastinator...So went to my friends place again...he had sold the business...the folks there said we don't have one but X probably does and "you need a script for that mask".. I finally called my Doc to ask for the "non rebreather" mask script...the nurses said "huh"...I said "clusters"...they said "ooohhh" and picked up the script the next day.
I went to X med supply...they said there are 5 cluster patients who deal with them ...they only had a pediatric mask in stock but would get the adult size in this week...but take this one "no charge" in the meantime.
So at this point all I've ever paid for is medical O2 refills...which I pickup at the gas/welding store. The O2 is "med" and I don't line the pocket of some "med supply" dealer. There are a lot of gas suppliers areound here so maybe the competition helps keep the supply available and price low...I dunno
Lucky me...lucky mud
