Given the apparent "social unacceptability" of the topic of psilocybin ingestion, it's difficult NOT to be anecdotal(biographical)in the analysis. My first experimentation with the compound occured approximately 3 weeks ago. I ate a "clump" of caps and stems about the size of a medium tootsie roll. My intent was NOT recreational. Like many of you, I was looking for a cure no matter how unconventional that cure may be. Anectodatally speaking, I experienced a moderately pleasant "buzz" followed by the first decent night's sleep in quite a while. Empirically speaking, I subsequently experienced 18 consecutive pain free days and nights. This past Friday night, they came back with a BANG. I don't know whether or not the events of last week contributed to the reoccurance or not. I experienced a death in the family and was directly involved in all of the subsequent planning, etc.. At the same time, my work was manufacturing new and unique ways to keep me "engaged". So there was some added stress. I don't know if this was a factor or not. At this point, I'm not 100% sure whether the "cure" I experienced was psychological or physical. Just in case the results were psychological, I hesitated posting this subsequent outcome to this board. The mind is a powerful thing and it is not my intent to upset anyone's apple cart. Will I experiment with this treatment again? Absolutely. I truly think there is something to it. I'm not aware of any other substance (with the possible exception of Sansert) that has such an accute affect on Seritonin levels. In my mind, this is where the relationship lies.
