Hi Jackie,

My heart goes out to you.. I haven't had an attack at night for some time.. I used to get them in the earlier hours of the morning, they would last al the way through to about the time I was supposed to get up for work. Some mornings I would find myself waking up realising that I was 3-4 hours late for work. I'd passed out from exhaustion of pain. I can't really give you any advise on how to combat the problem of waking with the buggers.. I used to try to go to bed earlier so that I would adjust my pain cycle. On days off I would stay up all night and half the following day so that my body clock would be messed up and I would get my routing attacks at a different hour for a while. This works for a bit, but eventually I would get ill because of the strain and fatigue I was enduring.. Keep trying your own solutions to the prob., try everything and anything that you feel might work. Don't worry about work… I know it's easy to worry about what might happen if….. But you've got to concentrate on you for a week or two, try to beat the cycle. Work will be there if you're ill.. They don't like it, we all know that.. But they have no choice, it's not your fault you have these nasty CH's. Take care of number one!!! Try to see your neurologist and find out if he/she can get you on some new preventative drugs. I'm on Eplim (Sodium Valproate) great stuff. Seems to be working a dream… And to top it of it doesn't effect your sleep cycles so you can get a good nights rest while your taking them.. Ask if you can get on it.. It doesn't have too many side affects (none that I have experienced so far) and it can be taking for life if you have the need.

I've made a wish that you will a good nights sleep.

Hang in there.

Jonathan
