Actually had a halfway decent day today--only two major attacks. One hit while I was at lunch with my wife, just about floored me as we were heading back out to the car, had to sit down for a few minutes to let the worst of the pain pass.

The second one was a lot worse. Hit later in the afternoon, and it definitely took me out. The O2 tank was at home, and I hadn't had the chance to pick up my Imitrex refill yet. I ended up calling my wife to beg her to go pick it up and bring it to me at work. Within 45 minutes she had it there and a quick injection was bringing things under control.

Sounds like a typical lousy cluster day so far? The best part was yet to come--I got called into the senior manager's office (second only to CEO at our company) for one of those "come in and shut the door behind you" chats. Was glad it was for a pat on the back plus added incentives, not a kick out the door. Actually had him tell me he admired me for toughing out through most of the headaches to try and get my work done. Almost seemed surprised when I told him I didn't want to let the damned headaches stop me from being productive and living a real life. Was kind of nice to get the feeling that they understand to some degree the level of pain a CH sufferer goes through. Not just that, but admired the fact that we wouldn't let it stop us.

Not that bad of a day after all...

Todd
