Your husband is a member of the club we don't want to be in. I found the site a few weeks ago.
The guest book is very depressing. Almost all the entries are from newcomers, pleased to be able to share their pain. The message board is more uplifting with many people who have lived with it for years sharing their strength. The ability to laugh is very helpful to all of us

You, as well as your husband, have my sympathy. My sister recently saw me during an attack (normally I crawl off into a hole) and was very shocked. She felt helpless, as I am sure you must. At least we know what we are dealing with. It varies, but much of the time we can be quite stoical about anything other than the worst headaches. The person watching us just sees the distress.

As there is nothing you can do, try not to worry about it. Easy to say, I know. It is a good idea with most CH to leave them alone. If your husband is one of those then stay well away where you can't see or hear him. It will upset you and knowing that it will do so probably stresses him on top of the headache.

We do all have within ourselves the strength to cope with things when we fear we may not. Your mutual support for each other can make that a powerful force for living with it successfully.
